Just read the news that, following a trial in Leeds late last year, Asda are to begin selling secondhand clothes in 50 of their stores. This is such an encouraging development as it will go some way to bring used clothes buying out of the fringes and into the mainstream. The more socially acceptable it is to buy secondhand, the better. The more it gets everyone thinking about the impact of textile waste, the better, too.
Let's hope this encourages other major players to up their game.
